Remembrance Day was marked by ceremonies at both churches, with a piper and the laying of wreaths. At the Abbey Church there was a knitted poppy feature (made by the local Yarnstormers) to mark the Centenary of the end of the First World War.
This year’s Autumn Fair was another enjoyable occasion, with plenty to eat, entertain and tempt to spend. There were a good number of craft stalls with a range of items, and musical background by Austin on the organ. A special feature was the Yarnstormers’ knitted poppy display to commemorate the end of WWI. Apart from being a worthwhile social event, the Fair raised £750 for the Deveopment Fund (which is about to work on converting the area under the gallery into a cafe area). Thank you to all who contributed, helped run, and supported thisd event.

It has been created with the intention of putting much more topical information on more frequently, so watch this space for news of what is going on at the Abbey and Bendochy.
Why the picture of the Couttie Bridge? Well, it joins our two parishes together across the River Isla.
