The Abbey Church wishes to thank everyone who helped with the Charity Shop in July. Whether you volunteered within the shop, donated goods or bought some bargains, we greatly appreciate your generosity. The fantastic sum of £2354.40 was raised for the Abbey Church’s funds. We would also like to thank Mrs Kathleen Godfrey who gave up a whole week of her time to be there, making sure everything ran successfully.

The retiring collection after Holy Communion in the Abbey Church came to a total of £123.63.
This is for the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance. We thank you all for your generous contributions to this wonderful cause.
The Sacrament of Holy Communion will take place this Sunday (26th April) in both churches.
Our Interim Moderator Klaus Buwert will conduct the services at 10.00 am in Bendochy Church and at 11.15 am in the Abbey Church.
Palm Sunday – The Triumphal Entry – Jesus enters Jerusalem to greetings of “Hosannas”.
Monday – The Cleansing of the Temple – Jesus confronts the money changers. He says “My Father’s House is a house of prayer”.
Tuesday – The Withered Fig Tree and Olivet Discourse – Jesus teaches His disciples about the power of faith.
Wednesday – Spy Wednesday (The Betrayal) – Judas agrees to betray Jesus.
Thursday – Maundy Thursday – The institution of Communion. Jesus washes His disciples’ feet.
Friday – Good Friday – The Passion and Crucifixion – The trial before Pilate. The Via Dolorosa. Death on the Cross.
Saturday – The Day of Waiting and Solemn Vigil – Christ in the tomb.
Sunday – Resurrection Sunday (Easter) – The Resurrection of Jesus. Triumph over death.
On the first Friday of each month, in the Abbey Church, we hold Friendly Friday.
This is a great opportunity to come to a warm space, have company, drink tea/coffee and choose from a selection of sweet treats! All are very welcome!
Our next Soup Lunch will be held in the Abbey Church on Wednesday 14th January 2026 from 12 noon until 2.00 pm.
